Hello,
I am trying to find out if anybody has experience with DIGIVUE EDV-XV425 card and cameras that can be used with it.
I am particulary interested about motion-detector type hidden cameras. If this card comparable with any cctv camera or has some restrictions? Also how remote access part of software works, how is the picture?
I'll be very appretiated for any help.
Thank you.
Hi,
The EDV-XV425 is compatible with all security cameras that have a standard composite output (usually BNC or RCA connector).
We recently received a user review for the EDV-XV816, which is the 16 channel version of the EDV-XV425. This subjective review covers all of your questions. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

This card is great for the price, resolution is not as high as some cards but picture is good, frame rates are more than acceptable. Software works fine but is not updated very often, it does crash sometimes but is relatively stable. I am using 9 cameras with it right now and have it setup to record on motion, 5 zones each camera - it does record some blank (no action ) video but all in all this thing was easy to setup is easy to maintain and works well enough
to make me feel secure. It gives video artifacts if you have a multi processor machine however you can set the affinity to only use one processor and it is very clear when viewing remotely using either the supplied client or Internet Explorer on your intranet or the internet as well. You usually get what you pay for but I think you get a little more with this card.
