Hi All,

I'm in the process of setting up surveillance system in my house.  Currently I'm finishing my basement and ran siamese cable from the 2 floors upstairs and basement rooms to a central location under the basement stairs.  I'm planning to install mini pinhole board cameras, housed inside a motion detector casing and had a few questions.

1.  Will either 520 TVL color (KPC-HD38CSP3) or 600 TVL BW (KPC-S20P4HEX) cameras provide good resolution and angle of view if I need to zoom in using DVR's software zoom?

2.  Since both cameras above come with RCA/BNC connectors, will I be able to easily connect those to my existing cables in the walls if I add a crimp-on BNC connector and a coupler?

3.  Does anyone know where I can get inexpensive motion detector (PIR) cases to house the cameras above?

Thanks,
Gennady

Yes, both cameras are consider very high resolution cameras, so I would recomend both models.   High resolution is especially important since you plan on using the digtal zoom function of the DVR, which will pixelate the picture as you zoom in.

I am not sure where you can purchase PIR cases.  But you can always try Ebay Big Grin, if you are not able to locate any new ones.
