Hey everyone, i'm new to this thread and to the surveillance systems. I'm having a problem with pixels as the images are so pixelated i can't read vehicle plates or see faces too well. I don't know if the problem is the cameras or the system. I have a CCD IR Camera CM35IR-48/3.6, the Geovision system and windows xp. any idea what would be the cause of it to be so pixelated?
The reason why you getting pixelated images is that, the camera that you have are not designed for reading license plates or capturing close up shots of an individuals face. These cameras are designed to cover wide area, since these camera have wide angle lens built in to it. In order for you to capture license plates at night time, you need to purchase a special camera which is designed to capture license plate only.

To capture an individual's face, you need to have a camera with a better lens, so you can zoom into the picture.
These are the reason why you getting a pixelated images.
