I am a college student who had my car vandalized twice, and desperately need a wireless camera for when I move back to school. The camera would be used as much as possible; with out need when I'm driving. It has to be night vision, wireless, and have a long range receiver because where I park is on the other side of the building. It would be placed in my car. I have looked at some cameras, but am not sure how to approach this. I don't have much money, but I absolutely need a camera. Any suggestions?
I am sorry to hear that someone has done that to your car. We come across this issues a lot and its a difficult one. The problem is that if you place a wireless camera in
the car, the camera needs to be powered. These cameras do operate using 12 Volt DC the same as your car battery, so it can be powered by your car battery but hard wiring this could be a bit of project. Another problem when using a wireless camera would the transmitting range is not that great and especially since you are not sure where your car will be parked your results will be spotty at best. The best way to do this would be to have a
complete self contained unit, camera recorder, battery such as this
